New Orleans Artist, Alyssa Grace Olson showcases her brush skills this past Sunday morning at World of Beer Julia Street in the Warehouse District. We caught her on our bike ride home from a morning photo shoot! Alyssa told us that she paints a majority of the Mardi Gras floats and other showcases seen across town. We grabbed a better understanding of her previous works of art on her website which led us in to our story with her.
Toughing it out standing on a paint bucket in the morning heat and a large bottle of water in hand, Alyssa pressed forward and finished this custom mural in about six hours, just after 1pm CST.
Thanks to the fine staff at World of Beer, it was easy to find a place to chill out after a hard days work and a cold pint to share amongst locals. World of Beer is a franchise company launched in the Warehouse District almost a year ago and is holding the fort down strong... actually, WOB will be celebrating their one year anniversary Aug. 24, 2016 (perfect timing!) and has another location in Metairie, LA.
WOB is actually one of many meeting places for not only tourists, but for brew-loving runners! That's right, WOB hosts the official MeetUp spot for the Hash House Harriers (NOH3) international running group. If you are new to town and want to make fun friends with no judgements, check their website out, you will thank us later! Coming up on August 13, 2016 NOH3 will host the largest Red Dress Run in the country! Get out of the house and play with some new friends or existing ones. Sign up here: http://nolareddress.com/
